Pipe freeze forecast

A public outlook for unheated garages, crawlspaces, and attics: enter a US city or ZIP and see the next nights’ lows, hours below freezing, and a high / watch / low risk mark. It forecasts outdoor air from the National Weather Service. It does not measure your space — that is the probe dashboard.

What a night means

Water freezes at 32°F. Pipes in an unheated space usually need colder outdoor air before they freeze. Nights at or below about 20°F are marked high risk. Nights between 21°F and 32°F are watch — a long freeze, wind, or a drafty wall can still ice a line. Wind of 15 mph or more during freezing hours is called out. The hourly forecast refreshes about every 30 minutes and covers the United States and its territories.
